So today is going to be one of those days that I didn’t expect as soon as it did. Today marks the final day of the run that Jason Keith and I have had together at Vistaprint. Five and a half years ago, he convinced the former vice president of public relations to take a shot on a guy who was rough around the edges and was utterly burnt out after working in sports for the previous four+ years. Since then, we had a lot of good times and did a lot of cool things, but like all good things, well it came to an end. I’ll always be grateful for the chance he gave me and wish him the best over at Nuance. How was your week? Hopefully you can stay warm and dry this weekend and I look forward to catching up next week. So until then, enjoy this week’s edition of Five for Friday.
How a Google Headhunter’s E-Mail Unraveled a Massive Net Security Hole – this might be one of the bigger jaw-droppers that I have peeped out in a while. Kind of scary how it could cost so little to make a phishing scheme…
Two Awesome Examples of Promotional Campaigns Done Right – great read on promotions that don’t suck from my buddy Danny Brown.
99 LIFE HACKS TO MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER! – my father-in-law passed this awesome nugget along earlier in the week and has some bookmarkable images in there.
Shorthand vs Shortcuts: Buzzwords vs the Angry Mob – one of the biggest pitfalls in social media is the dogpile. You know, where someone you know tries to discredit something and you and your closest friends jump on board?
THE 10 BEERS THAT MADE MY CAREER: SAM CALAGIONE – it is Friday and time to crack a few cold ones. Here’s a great piece on the beers that shaped Dogfish head.
