Last night I attended a screening of the new Winnie the Pooh movie, courtesy of the folks over at Disney and Klout. Now, I have received a bunch of Klout Perks in the past, but Β none have really stood out to me as much as this one. The main reason was that my 12-week old son is a huge fan of the hunny-loving bear (and yes I know I spelled it wrong) and my wife was quick to note that she wanted to take advantage of the free movie.
Who am I to argue with the darlings of my life?
When we were headed to the movie theater, I was expecting big things from this perk, basically because it was done in conjunction with Disney, but left the event with a mixed bag of things. Below is a list of the positives and negatives from the event:
Pros
- Extremely kid friendly
- Movie volume offset kids crying or talking
- Great movie and Loch Ness Monster short
- Klout sign up page noted that you could only have a +1, making it seem that if you had kids you could bring only one
- At the door no one was checking you in, so you could have brought more people
- Was kind of hoping for a mascot or more Disney experience

I’ve been interested in hearing more about these klout perks, and as I’m from the UK I’ve very little chance of seeing one for the significant future, glad to read about someone who’s experienced one.
Did Klout book a theatre just for the offer participants then? It sounds like a good night out and opportunity if so π Would definitely be great to see more of a ‘special event’ style for them, but to be honest I’d just be happy to get something for free! π
Glad to hear you both enjoyed yourselves anyway π
@MattieTK Hey there. I think the theater was mostly booked by Disney as many people were there with tickets. So I am not sure how it all went down, but it seemed very unorganized when we all went in as opposed to the strict rules that were in the Klout signup.
@jeffespo Shame, I don’t really see what Klout have beyond this so they really should make it an experience that you want to actively come back to.
@kolodsofun Thanks
