People I interact with often ask me what the benefits of social media are. They range from ROI and measurement to “why bother” and “is it worth it?”
Many of these people are not familiar with the space and question metrics that they cannot understand. It’s often hard to satisfy their question as to how do you know you are doing things the right way.
Instead of having to search for an answer, Marie Wise of Kalama, Washington said it for us beautifully in this Tweet:

Marie on behalf of the entire Public Relations team (Jason Keith and Nick Gosselin) at Vistaprint, I’d like to say thank you for the Tweet. We’re very happy that you’ve chosen our company for your marketing materials and the Tweet made our week.
You’ve helped us see that the work we’ve been doing in the social realm for the past two plus year are resonating with the community at large.

Good stuff Jeff. Kudos to you and your team.
@JohnnyRusso Thanks Johnny. Its one of those things that at the end of the day makes you smile more than anything.
This is a perfect example of one of the things that is hard to measure with social media…nice work Jeff & a job well done!
LOL! I saw that tweet!
Well done Jeff, keep doing what you’re doing!
@ChrisApple Chris it was an awesome Tweet to get. Until we can get pixels in Tweets, we won’t be able to track everything. Anecdotal Tweets like this further show that there is more than the money from SM.
@ryanruud #pr20chat is a great place.
@JMattHicks TY sir. You do the same.
Aww gee, that’s nice of you ! Truly, I like to recognize great PR when I see it. You’re using new media to improve your employer’s worth and establish your own credibility as a PR professional, and that’s worth recognizing! Best wishes to you and your team at VistaPrint, and keep on communicating on Twitter. We’re listening!
@artsylady Thanks Marie, folks like YOU are the reason we do what we do. Glad to have you on board as a customer :)!
