The Michael Vick Experience

For those watching the dreadful, meaningless, first preseason game of the season yesterday, on top of watching the starters play a handful of snaps to a full quarter, we were also greeted with some interesting news. No, Paula was not coming back to American Idol, but rather Michael Vick was returning to the NFL, to a city that has never been one to shy away from heckling athletes or Santa Clause for that matter.

The signing is one that is like a train wreck in that you can’t help to look, but also hope for the best. Granted killing dogs and fighting them is horrific, but the man lost over $100 Million and also spent two years in federal prison and has paid his debt to society. While we can only wait and see if he is reformed, it will be even more interesting to see how the next few weeks play out. The Eagles took on the situation knowing that there would be a PR nightmare, but it was a risk worth taking if Vick returns to his old self.

Will the once promising QB be able to thrill the fans in Philly with moves like this:

Or more protests from PETA or other animal activist groups?

Needless to say, it will be an interesting sight to see.

I hope he comes back stronger and better than before.

What he did to those dogs was wrong, but he paid for his part.

From what I can read from PETA’S own records, they have killed more dogs than Vick has.

Please read my blog about Bob Barker and the Blowhards.
