So instead of rattling off a wish list of products that you could head out and buy for loved ones, let’s hope Santa has some things left in his bag for our favorite social networks – Even if they’ve wound up on the naughty list (here & here). Here’s to hoping the big guy is as big a fan as we are and will bring….

Twitter – Hopefully his elves have been taking summer classes at MIT to keep up with all of their development class. While Biz and his team are focusing on the business suite, let’s hope the little guys from North Pole high are hard at work on building security protocols, because the 140-character king pin obviously hasn’t learned from their first security attack. For our sake hopefully the folks in San Francisco are working on it.

Facebook – Nothing says naughty list like a potential FTC investigation. Personally, I really don’t mind the new settings that Facebook has installed, however it is a complete violation of the trust that had so many people flock to it. Now for many of us this wasn’t an issue, however for people like my little sister (15-years old) had their accounts opened up to the world. Not cool, but hey Santa can work miracles right?

YouTube – Now that they have rolled out sponsored videos and ad inlays, hopefully Google keeps their soul in this space. Who am I kidding? That won’t happen, let’s just hope advertisers keep the social feel. Maybe Santa can bring them live streaming and more television shows.

Earlier this year, my coworkers and I were tasked at creating a video for our company’s holiday card line. We took the approach along the lines that no one really likes the holiday cards they receive. We also wanted to have fun with the getting rid of the cards as well.

The cat actually used the litter box right after the card was added to his box.
