Five for Friday

I love short weeks, especially ones where they are jam packed with stuff to do.  On top of planning out some things at work, I also brewed Straat vegen tijdens noodweer / Sweeping the street in heavy weatherthe latest batch of my homebrew and guest lectured at my friend Ari Herzog‘s social media class. Only downside is that on my day off it is going to rain an inch in Boston so I’ll be creative in ways to stay dry. Have a great weekend and catch you on Monday, hop you enjoy this week’s edition of Five for Friday. Let me know if I missed any articles.

Personas Created to Attack and Smear – This may be the scariest leaked documentation of all time. Women, young adults are active ‘social animals’ – Now I am going to start this out by saying the headline writer should get a raise because this just drew me in. After that the article was filled with statistics and insights to support the headline’s bold claims.

What a drug addict taught me about social media – While the end result of this story is not positive and being addicted to drugs is neither cool nor something to strive towards. However, this post from John McLachlan offers some great insights into lessons that he learned from his former friend with the habit.

Social Media Killing Blogs…Here We Go Again.– I love when this fight sparks up and is always good to see folks from the communities lash out including WordPress’ Matt Mullenweg.

How to Survive the Social Crash – What would you do if all of your social networks went away? Are you a guru that would move onto the next opportunistic cash cow? Are you a practitioner at a business that can identify the value of taking those skills to the next big thing? Read on…
