Why does it seem like this week was slow from the word go? Maybe it was the snow on Sunday, or the 70 degree weather the past few days or just the fact that there is nothing to watch on TV. At least the weekend is only a few hours away.

What the heck do my clients think? Spending too much time on Twitter? – This post comes way of my online-friend @kottavio. The piece ponders a question that many of us are thinking while Tweeting at work – Who is watching? What do they think? and Should I care? What do you think?

Make Blueprints – This one comes from Chris Brogan and offers a good insight into making headwinds in social media. Would you buy a house from someone without blueprints? Didn’t think so, so why should companies trust in you if you don’t have a blueprint laid out for your work?

How to be proactive about reputation management – While this article on Search Engine Watch is something that I agree with whole-heartedly, there were some bigger issues neglected in the piece. This will probably be the beginning of a number of similar posts on the topic. It is a great starting point if you aren’t actively pursuing RM for your business or clients.

Debate: Why brands should have one person per Twitter account – The Spinks Blog comes in topical with this one as it’s something that has been tossed around among our internal PR team. His points are great and are something that should be considered by brands in general when jumping on the wagon. The debate in the comments is also pretty good.

A journalist’s guide to ethics on social media – This is an interesting post on the ethics of the social media space. With all of the competing schools of thought the post makes a number of great points. Let’s hope the ethics of the space wins out over the rape and pillage version.

Bonus video – This video from SMS 09 in Foxboro (via DNA13) taps some SM pundits on their thoughts on the importance of SM for businesses.

    Dave,
Thanks for the comment, your post was great this week and it definitely is an argument I’ve been passionate about. One head helps keep the identity the same and the whole I like Dave better than Jeff argument out of the equation.
