Fear, Loathing and Shady Infographics

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone. Hope your week was a short as mine… This weekend I’ve got a bunch of running around from test driving a car or two to BBQs and bottling some beer for a competition… It will also be interesting to see 100 beers bottled on my counter. I am also pretty sure I have a chest cold settling in after sitting at humid and damp Fenway Park last night… at least the seats ruled. Have a great weekend and looking forward to catching up next week at some time… Be safe.

A Groupon Alternative Aims to Offer Small Businesses a Better Deal – this is a cool article for small business owners for when it comes to group-buying sales. This offering from Constant Contact is worth a look or two.

Fear and Loathing in the Social Media Space: An Observation – I love this post from by NY-turned Miami bro Dan Perez. It speaks to a topic of making boogey men and kissing the ring despite hating someone.

Shady infographic practices: bloggers, protect yourselves – if you blog and get pitched infographics, you might want to read this post from Lani Rosales.

Emoticons for brands: New trend or too spammy? – if you work on a brand account ask yourself a question – do you think emoticons have a place in communications? I think the situation has to be right and I always feel like Eric Cartman when adding a smiley.

Now watch this, and proceed to have a happy weekend:
