Facebook’s new privacy policy – a rant

I read this post earlier today on Read Write Web on Facebook’s new proposed new privacy settings. According to the article, the social hub is going to share data with approved third-party site. This data is all about you. Worried yet?

I am, but not for me. Rather those who aren’t as savvy and using the Web. To me this is a case of Facebook trying to have their cake and eating it too. Wonder if Myspace will make a play to be the new Private Network.

Funny how far Facebook has come after building themselves on the privacy factor.

More to come as it becomes available.

What do you think?

I agree Jeff! Like you, you can Google me and find tons of stuff but it's not going to be good for those who think FB is protecting their privacy!

I think that Facebook is looking at ways to make money hand over fist. If the company had not started as the place for friends and harked on privacy, it would not be as much as a problem.
