Twitter is a toddler

Earlier today, Twitter turned the ripe old age of five. Now I have been using the network for three years now and it almost seems like yesterday that I jumped on the service.

Many people ask me why I do it and to be honest I am addicted to the real-time engagement. Whether it’s manning the corporate account or hopping in chats, Twitter allows me to constantly connect with people and learn without having to be in a classroom.

When asked to describe in 140 characters, I responded with:

The lesson for me is taking that condensed communique and applying it elsewhere. When I’m in roomfuls of people and someone rises and talks, a la a monologue, for what seems like five minutes, I blink and think that person needs to experience tweeting to say more in less words.

Twitter is a toddler

Earlier today, Twitter turned the ripe old age of five. Now I have been using the network for three years now and it almost seems like yesterday that I jumped on the service.

Many people ask me why I do it and to be honest I am addicted to the real-time engagement. Whether it’s manning the corporate account or hopping in chats, Twitter allows me to constantly connect with people and learn without having to be in a classroom.

When asked to describe in 140 characters, I responded with:

Why do you Tweet?
