The future of Twitter

While it would be great to have a crystal ball to be able to see into the future, none of us can. This is especially true in the world of social media. Think about it Myspace was the darling of the social scene two years ago. This video was posted on Mashable today from Loic Le Meur, the founder of Seesmic.

Over the course of the video, Le Meur makes a lot of good points about what the future holds for Twitter in the social landscape as well as the future of Twitter itself. One of his more interesting points include: cars tweeting locations (like GPS), restaurant GEO tweeting to lure in customers and the overall integration into daily life like SMS is now. One scary part for some people is the removal of the privacy barriers in all of the social networking sites.

Disclaimer – the video is long 18.51 min, but is well worth checking out.
